Proposed trade to me K. Johnson OR C. Dillon for J. Delhomme?
I'd jump at Dillon if I were you. He WAS going to be splitting carries, but now Maroney reportedly hurt his knee. He could be out awhile. We'll never know because of the way Belicheck hides his team's injuries. You're a little weak at both RB and Wr, but Dillon should be of much greater value than Johnson. I'd also try to get him to take Brees instead of Delhomme. Even if not, I'd make the deal for Dillon. I agree with trying to trade one of your defenses for something. You should be able to get a good 2nd WR to play with Moss for either of those teams D's.
Reply:I would trade one of your Defenses for a RB or WR, you dont need both Pitt and Chicago
Reply:You should be able to get something way better for Delhomme. Pretty decent team. Dump or trade one of your kickers and pittsburg d. Trade one of your TEs to upgrade at RB.
Reply:Keep Delhomme man... dump Taylor, Bell and Brees and Addai.. all you need is 2 QB's ...Brees won;t be that good coming off an injury..Try getting better rb andwr's in free angency or trading Brees for K.Johnson and a rb... tell him you'll give him Taylor Brees and Bell for for Dillion and Johnson. that might get him to trade. cus you need more wr's then Moss...
Reply:Definately move Delhomme, you're weak at RB, go for Dillon or if there's a better RB choice take him, you're solid with Brady and Brees is a great backup.
You also may want to move one of your defenses for a decent WR if someone will do it, you only need a backup D for one week, it's not like the whole D can get hurt. Find someone with a mid-round upside reciever (maybe a Stallworth or a Keyshawn something like that, Michael Clayton maybe) who is in need of a stud D and take advantage of that.
Not a terrible job for your first draft though.
Reply:i would keep delhomme. corey dillon will be splitting carries and johnson is the number 2 WR, which means both of them won't make many points. delhomme is going to be the one throwing to johnson anyways, so whatever johnson makes, delhomme makes and more. hold on to him unless you get a better trade offer.
Reply:Hey, pretty solid job for a first year. Way to go. Now, a couple of things I think could improve your position. Let's start with the trade. You don't need to carry 3 QBs...ever. Dump DelHomme for Keyshawn Johnson (if that is who they are offering). You don't need (or want) another RB. Dillon may not be the goto guy all year in NE. The main thing is you are very thin with WRs.
Now about your line up. Do your homework on Addai before starting him in the flex position. Personally, I would go with Bell in that position until the rookie proves he is the starter in IND.
Bench Pitt and start CHI!!!!!! CHI is the best D in the league. Pitt is no slouch, but they are not Da Bears!.
One more thing, see if you can swing a deal with to get something extra along with Johnson for DelHOmme. If not, take the deal and be happy knowing you have a back up WR in case one of yours gets hurt.
Good luck.
